For Grant Seekers

Inquire Online

Thank you for your interest in the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation.  All prospective grant applicants must submit an Online Inquiry Form, which is the first step in requesting funds from the foundation.  You will need your organization's 501(c)(3) Tax ID number to get started.

Online Inquiry Forms will be reviewed by foundation staff on a rolling basis, so they may be submitted at any time during the year.  Within one month of receipt of your Online Inquiry Form, we will contact you to request more information, invite you to submit a full proposal, or to inform you that the Foundation will be unable to consider a full proposal due to limited resources and/or a mismatch with Foundation priorities.  If you do not receive such notification within a month after submitting your Online Inquiry Form, please contact Elizabeth Murph at 808-263-7073 or bmurph@castlefoundation.org.

Please note that the Foundation typically does not fund requests for ongoing operating support, endowments, sponsorships or special events. Capital fund inquiries are due on October 1 of each year.  Decisions on all capital grant requests will be made annually at the December Directors' meeting.

The opportunity for submitting an online inquiry for a capital grant is now closed.  The next opportunity will be in the Fall of 2010.

Non-profit organizations may click here to submit an Online Inquiry Form.

Hawaii public schools only may click here to submit an Online Inquiry Form.

In addition to our regular grants, for which the process is described above, the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation provides small grants through the Windward Youth Leadership Fund (WYLF).  This small grants program provides a way for youth to apply for and "earn" up to $5,000 for their club or group activities by leading a community service project to restore Windward Oahu's watersheds.  Please click here for more information and the online application form for this program.
